Got on a lucky one

By now the boys from the NYPD choir have sung Galway Bay a few times and hopefully you're in the mood for tinsel and Quality Street. There's no escape, so you may as well plunge in.

Have a great time this Christmas, however you celebrate it. Although try to resist those Iceland frozen food platters (60 pieces of kebab meat and pastry for £5). Just because Jason Donovan and Thingy Nolan Sister sing about them doesn't mean they're any good.

On the other hand, if you're looking for a touch of class and the perfect present for the glamorous women (or men) in your life, buy a fascinator from this amazing designer. If you don't know what a fascinator is, find out and impress your friends.

Recent projects

  • Barclays Bank
    A big rewriting project for a big bank has to be a collaborative exercise. Thanks to regular meetings with product, web, marketing, compliance, legal and SEO specialists, we managed to get the copy mostly right most of the time. The results aren't online yet, but meanwhile here's a link to the current Barclays site, to which I've contributed a few words over the last year or so.
  • University of Liverpool/Laureate Online Education
    I've worked with Liverpool and Laureate for a few years now. In their electronic and printed material we try to convey both the revolutionary benefits of online learning and the academic gravitas of a prestigious UK university, sometimes to an international audience that is unfamiliar with both. Here's a page of their website that I hope captures the essence of what they offer.
  • Evolve Creative Solutions
    These bright sparks swim against the corporate tide in the congested waters of exhibition, corporate and retail design. Their website wasn't doing justice to their personal service and zest for new ideas, so I was delighted to write them a new one.
  • CEVA Logistics
    CEVA is big: 5.5bn euros in revenue, 46,000 employees, 170 countries. Zurito is not. In fact, it's just me. But that doesn't stop us working well together. I've done a few projects for CEVA recently, including this new website. Lots of time zones, lots of long-distance phone calls and lots of industry-specific language ... but in the end, we're just trying to explain a complex business in a version of English that will engage and convince international customers.
